Where else can you have great trout fishing each winter in California but on the lower Owens River?

Sierra Guide Group, of Bishop California has once again announced plans for continuing it's unique guide clinic, fly fishing package for this fall, winter and spring on the famous wild trout water of the lower Owens River. This package deal is aimed at the beginner and intermediate flyfisher interested in improving their fly fishing

Anglers will learn fly fishing techniques, river entomology, knot tying, casting, and advanced nymphing and streamer techniques. Lunch is provided on the first day, and our instructors join you that night for a group dinner at a local restaurant. Although the program is designed for the beginner and novice, all levels are welcome to come and learn how to be more succsessful on the lower Owens. Fees for the two-day package are only $200 per person with a three person minimum per group. Reduced group motel rates can also be arranged. Participants will meet Saturday morning at the river. There you will be given a short seminar about the lower Owens River, followed by clincs, on nymphing and streamer techniques, casting, knots, fly selection and reading the water. At noon, a lunch will be provided and a Q & A will help to answer any questions that may have come up during the morning. That evening we will join you at a local restuarant for dinner to hash out the days experience and answer more of you questions

On Sunday morning we work with you until the program ends at 1PM.

Beryl Rea, otherwise known as The Trout Scout has fished all over the world. She currently guides anglers to trout on the Lower Owens River and other area spring creeks, rivers and lakes in the Eastern Sierra near Bishop, California.

Beryl also hosts many fly fishing clinics and also offers special clinics for women only to familiarize them with the art of fly fishing and fly tying.
